This felt lavender sachet was an idea I had in my head whilst I was away for a couple of weeks. (Bet you didn't notice!) The central heart shape is a lacy fill stitched on net without stabiliser. (Although you can see I didn't quite get it all out before the stitching.) The lavender went in while it was still in the hoop. (Message to self, make the gap bigger for next time.)
If only I could find a really foolproof way to get the ribbon in the middle - and yes I did use tape.

This is beautiful. You have great ideas. Sometimes I use tape, other times I use Sewline Fabric Glue Pen, it's water soluble and doesn't gum up the needle. When using it, I take the hoop out of the machine and place it on a hard surface so I can press down without distorting the stabilizer.

Thank you. If I'm being really careful, I hand stitch to the stabiliser!

Mmm, I can smell the aromatic lavender from here! Looks great.

Thanks - unfortunately the aroma doesn't last for very long so I wonder if making these is really worth the effort/ Still, it will look pretty when the scent has gone!
Try adding a drop of lavendar oil.

Is the back solid felt or does it have netting too?

The back is just felt.

This is a great little sachet! It just feels beautiful. I have a difficult time centering everything, so you are not alone in this.

What a pretty design Sue. I love Lavender and always use it as a hand-wash and bath wash for the girls when they sleepover. It's such a calming scent. I think it looks great and the more you do you will perfect the placement. What about just placing it when you get close to the centre and manipulate it with your long tweezers or fingers etc. Otherwise you could use a glue gun and place a little flower on the glue spot. I love the stitches you have used, love Chris

Thanks Chris. The main problem with this one was that I used velvet ribbon. Flat ribbon would have been much better behaved!

I have always loved sachets. I remember them all the way back to my Grandmother when I was very small. She would fold laundry and I would help put away . Her drawers and linen closet always smelled sooooooo good to me so I asked why That was her answer "Sachets" then she showed me. This is pretty Sue. /Lillian
