Hello Cuties- Nora and I sewed today. This is what I made in the last few days. Here are 4 waterproof lined bags for anything you want, I guess. I have sewn them with regular sewing machine, but embroidery was done in the process.

Pisgah font was used for wording. I asked my daughter if my play with wording was too out there, for anyone to get it. She said not if they were using the bags for medicine, because that would be their main bag!!!
The first one had no embroidery, then the one on right, the brown thread looked darker on the spool and holding against the rust print. However when it stitched, you can barely read it. The next two shows better and I did remember my Toogie!
All this was 'given to me' fabric. I had this in a box marked browns and thought it would be good for fall. I cut using my dresden ruler.
These will be given away on my trip. I hope you can read, too. Good night -Toogie

Cute, cute, cute. I get the Maine Bag- I think it's a wonderful idea. It also made me sing, "Papa's got a brand new bag." O.K. so I'm old......

lol- Kim I may not ever get to sew alone again!!! The minute I step into my room she wants to come too. I have it set up on my ironing board as I can lower it to her level, but when I need to press she has to watch Shimmer & Shine-lol- cartoons.

These bags are great! I love how you used all those coordinating fabrics. You're right - the colors are perfect for fall, especially in that part of the country. Hope you get there at a good time to see the trees ablaze with color.

May I ask what you used for the waterproofing?

I use a fabric called Baby Dry, but I'm sure you could use PUL, if you like that.

My buddy is my 3 year old grand daughter! She 'sewed' on her little machine sewing (sort of) straight lines-lol on some fabric scraps I gave her to play with. I have some photos I will put in community sewing soon.
