Thank you, Chris...I still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when this senseless tragedy happened...

This is a day that should never be forgotten. My heart goes out to all our American Cuties.

Thank you, friends. We were still "over the moon" over the birth of our second grand daughter 4 days earlier when they hit the Towers. Sad, sad time.

15 years ago today!!! Unbelievable, but it's true. Such a sad thing & the offenders gloat about killing sooo many innocent people! Unreal how anyone could be that way! Hugs, Judy...

I can never forget. My hubby was in Korea at the time and we knew folks who were in the area where the planes hit in DC, NY and PA. It was a terrible day for the entire world.

a terrible terrible day. I also had a friend there who was on her way to work at the towers, she was on the train that the conductor stopped & was able to get off, she walked home in utter shock & horror ( miles) not knowing really what was happening, when she got home her neighbours took her in to try & calm her, she is o.k now My thoughts are with everyone concerned. I watched a program last night about the after math & after all this time they are still working on DNA of the victims to ID them, A terrible day in the worlds history. RIP

Thank you, Chris. It's still very much raw in our hearts. We had never before been attacked on our own soil. My brother and sister-in-law were 2 miles from the plane that the passengers crashed in Pennsylvania and I was heart sick. There are so many children who have grown up without parents from this evil attack and too many moms and dads who never got to tell their children that they loved them one last time. Siblings and friends who have wounds that will never heal. It was also a time when our country came together like none other in recent years.

I think Raw applies, not sure what word would mean even more than just raw, as that may be an even more suitable word. Likely every civilized person no matter your country would have been deeply effected by those events. All those deeply effected can remember the details of where we were and what was going on, almost as if in slow motion. Those attacks show that no person is "safe" from those who have evil intentions. The internet can be a blessing and a vile curse as finding out how to do such atrocities is just a few mouse clicks away, leading people to easily find "like minded" people to associate with or plan attacks, though the good side of humanity also exists, meaning that in places like here at Cute, there are also like minded good people that Love, encourage, uplift and quickly come to the side of any who appear to be having pain or sorrow.
We surely will never forget 9-11-2001 and still grieve for all those who lost loved ones in the attacks or have loved ones who were part of the firefighters, police or just regular citizen heroes rushing into the area to help. Many of those still still living suffer with medical issues following their time that they were helping and serving at those sites. How I wish and pray for each person suffering, whether they lost friends or loved ones or they just became so traumatized by the attack that they now have a hard time functioning. The only way for evil to win is for good men and women to do nothing. Keep seeking to do good works, seek out and help others in whatever way we each are able. Try not to give into fear as that is what those evil people had hoped they would accomplish. It is by far a huge miracle of how many thousands were able to escape from the towers and subways and I rejoice for each person able to have made it out and oh how I hope that each who survived, I hope and pray that they can be at peace and know that the heavens received many valiant spirits that day and the time will come that loved ones will once again be reunited.
