I am also interested to know how to do it with stretch fabric. This is the formula I used for ribbing, I measure the distance around the neck, divide it by 4, and measure your ribbing 3/4 of that length. eg 20cm neckline
divide be 4 = 5cm X 3 =15cm. Divide your neck line and ribbing equaly into 4's and match your 4 points and stretch evenly as you sew.
