Thanks everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. I've had a wonderful weekend and birthday today. Saturday night Trevor took me to dinner/show called "Killer Queen" a take off band of Queen and the lead singer was the spitting image of Freddie Mercury!!!

We had the girls, their families and my Mum over for lunch yesterday. This morning I had breakfast with our son. I then had Italian lessons and they all wished me a Happy Birthday in Italian. It's a family tradition to ring and sing Happy birthday so the girls and Mum did that. I came home from Italian and collected Delphi, (we have her every Monday) and then I visited Mum. Her little dog is very old and not well at all and when we arrived she fainted and we had to wait till she came round. She is 14 and a half and has recently had a paralysis tic (wasn't allowed out of the house for 2 weeks) and has only been able to walk as of this past weekend. It's a real worry as she is Mum's companion. I'm not sure how much longer she is going to hang on. She only weighs 4.6kg! she is a little Bichon Friese/Maltese and I worry about Mum 'cause Sophie often gets underfoot.

Anyway after that I took Delphi back to Amy's place, took off the washing and folded it. Collected Ophelie from school and put on another load of washing. Amy got home about 5.30 and made me the most delicious Lasagne with Turkey mince and we had a lovely salad and garlic bread. Also a bottle of my favourite Champagne Piper Heidsieck! And to top it off Steve and Amy have organised an Italian cooking class for me and Amy for the 8th November, can't wait for that.

I've been very spoiled with beautiful cards, lots of money for my Embroidery hobby, new clothes, and Barbra Streisand's new duet CD. Feeling very sleepy too as I was out walking early this morning. I might have an early night. Once again thanks to everyone for the lovely wishes. Love Chris

2. Dana's collation from yesterday, with the grandchildren. I couldn't eat the cake Amy bought, so she got me a little Lemon curd tart with some meringue (I didn't eat the base) as I'm allergic to Soy and its products.
