Sorry Cuties, I have no internet service. Am sitting at local coffee shop using my iPhone. No pussy cat picture for Tuesday - hoping the NBN will connect us up soon. Luv Chris

If you don't have NBN and are thinking wow it will be so good well maybe think again. We got it beginning of September and have nothing but issues. Phone wasn't letting incoming calls in for at least 24 hours that we know of we could ring out but no one could get in. Didn't know until got a call on mobile asking was everything Ok with DH thinking I must be at the hospital as the house phone just rang out but machine didn't kick in.
Then the issues with the billing still ongoing. Had Cable for so long with Optus about 10years or more on direct debit. When it went to NBN it became a new account and no information was transferred even though I was assured it had been done. When a paper bill arrived I rang asking why? got it all sorted I thought until I caked at bank payment not taken out and I now owe a $15 late fee. All that was last month. Then today I rang no invoice has come through in my Emails. No problem I am told I will set up a direct debit for you for next month in the mean time it will be $2.20 for paper bill plus $1.70 to pay at Post office.
After an hour of saying you record all my conversations with you and here is the reference numbers it was finally fixed.
So as I say be vigilant and make sure the company you are dealing with are doing their job properly. Also every now and again call your house phone just to be sure it is working.
I am also finding it is slower than Cable was but for an extra $10 a month I can speed up.

When it does get connected ,check that your answering machine etc still works, we didn't & when they rang to see if it worked ,we said yes.Our phone worked but it took a few weeks before someone rang us ,to find out why we hadn't answered any of their messages.Telstra had given us call waiting & their message bank which we never had before & it overrode our answering machine. It took months before the answering machine worked again. We gave up complaining to Telstra because we ended up talking to someone in the Phillipines who we couldn't understand. It was a shock to hear the answering machine talking one Sunday afternoon, months later.

We are in SA and I am really fed up with our service provider. It was mostly down at the weekend.

Really nice bananassana. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad Chris let us know or we'd have worried. :)
