Instead of worrying about my sister-in-law I decided to stay busy. to start with I made a batch of applesauce Maple Flavoured. It is just as thick as my soups are & just as yummy too. Normally I make applesauce to substitute the oil in any recipe but because this batch is Maple Flavoured I believe it will be just for eating & not baking. The added Maple gives it this rich colour I ran out of lids lol so guess what I had for snack today. As you can see I recycle my jars as often as I can & love it when my friends send me theirs too

Sounds interesting to add Maple syrup to your apple sauce, I expect it tastes wonderful

Around here all the apple tree owners are giving away there apples ****I said no as i got lots from last year ****i guess i slowed down in my baking lol

Your applesauce looks like an apple butter due to color and thickness. I can only imagine the taste with the maple flavor added. Looks yummy.

I added pure maple syrup straight from the farm. it is wonderful I like it warmed up too

Looks like caramel and has to be ever so delish. I love applesauce and applebutter , also home made fried apple pies. That was one of my Grands fave to make in her big black iron skillet.
