We have just ordered the new kitchen for our new home.

Photo 1. The existing kitchen. Looks OK in the picture but the cupboards are old and lined with partly glued down old lino which is curling up in the front. The doors are old and hard to open.
Photos 2 & 3, Computer image of the kitchen we have chosen. Updated with soft close drawers and doors, and bins under the sink for rubbish and recyclable items.
We won't be moving in until the new kitchen is installed which hopefully will be in 3-4 weeks time. Hubby is busy painting the bed rooms and MY sewing room. I need a couple more power points put in the sewing room which will be done when the electrician is working in the kitchen. Hugs

It will be beautiful when it is finished. I agree with Noah about the happy wife. Hopefully you will be moving in soon.

Sure hope you chose a big pots and pans drawer. When we updated our kitchen I considered one but short on space so decided against one. Yesterday crawling around on my hands and knees trying to find what I wanted at the back of a corner cupboard was no fun.
Love what you have chosen

Yes I have got crockery and pot drawers. I have not had these in the past so am looking forward to using them as I also have trouble getting things out of the bottom cupboards. Hugs

Wonderful! I remember designing and installing my kitchen. It is a big job. I will be great to be complete before you move in. I look forward to seeing pics of your new sewing room. What color did you choose?

Thanks. It was fun watching the kitchen being put together on the computer screen. It is not a big kitchen so I will have to only keep things that I really use. The sewing room is a nice warm cream color. I have worked out where my machines will be. It will be almost what I have had here. Was very lucky I could fit it into a smaller room. I am looking forward to be able to sew again. The machines have been packed away for over 2 months and I am having withdrawal symptoms. Hugs

You will just have to spend that time shopping for new fabrics! Be sure to plan to include Natural light lightbulbs. And lots of light in general. So excited for you!

You are going to happily prepare a lot of meals in this space. Enjoy every minute of it. I wish I could have gotten new cabinets, but what I have works and I enjoy seeing other people get new kitchens.

I hope I will be very happy with this new kitchen. I have had 2 other new ones in other houses but this is definitely going to be the best. Sorry you could not have got new cabinets but at least what you have works. Hugs

Beautiful kitchen. When I had mine done I had the deep drawers put on one side. I wish I had nothing but drawers on all the bottom cabinets now. Since I don't have them. I went and bought me some plastic tubs that would fit the bottom shelves, it works and it sure saves the knees.

wow how very exciting for you both Shirley! You will have a wonderful & fully functioning kitchen when it is all done & the wait will be worth it! I love all that gr8 lighting too. I remember all that we went through to have ours done but even now I love my new kitchen 2 years later. I also love the pops of red in your kitchen. I went with all drawers on the bottoms & they are super for us too ~hugs~

Thanks Lorayle. I sure hope the wait will be worth it, i am getting frustrated by having thins packed and not being able to move in. We won't be having all that lighting. It is only the computer image. The pops of red are the kitchen the lady had that was renting the house before we bought. I will add my own pops of colour. Hugs Shirley
