Do you ever see a design & know EXACTLY what & who your going to use it for? Well for me this design is exactly that! Our son-in-law's brother-in-law makes flavours @ a brewing Company & the two of them often get together & this is just what our son-in-law says lol By this I don't mean he drinks alot what I mean is his bil got a promotion & they have 6 children so this job makes their life better, so in essence Beer Makes Life Better lol. I did french seems so no raw edges here, only thing it is not lined so the embroidery design back shows & I am not sure how to cover it up? I made the bag as well so I should have maybe made a liner but this is heavier canvas type material & I thought it was strong enough on its own. any thoughts on how to cover it up on the inside?

Great bag...great saying...great stitch out...you could use the cloud cover iron on knit like you would use on the back of a onesie...embroidery still might show a bit, but it would probably look better that it does uncovered...

Looks lovely could you turn it inside out and just sew a thinner material to the seams so covering the back of the embroidery design ?

Wow love the bag.
When I made my Chook bag I didn't line it but I ironed on Black dressmaking interfacing and it worked fine.
Maybe use a white iron on interfacing to neaten it off.

Love the bag and the design. I did a bag before for my granddaughter and I put lining in to cover the back of embroidery. Sew like a tube with handles inside and stitched bottom of lining after. Where did you get the great design? Hugs Lynn

I sew bags a lot and I always leave my canvas ones bare. No one ever seems to mind that the design back shows as it's on the inside of the bag. However if it's very important for you to cover, I'd suggest an iron on stabilizer or fusible lining but get one that's thick as it'll get rubbed on quite a bit putting things in and out of the bag. BTW - I have that exact design! Great job!

This is a nice looking design and I instantly thought 'Urban Threads' before I saw where it was from. Most times when I make bags I put the design onto a separate piece of fabric which is then doubled to create the pocket. In this case, I would prob just line the back of the design, though I guess you could go overboard and create an inner pocket which would also line the back of the design (fabric 2 or 3 times the size of the design). It's going to be a very popular gift and I can see more of these in your future :)
