Hi i just bought a brand new baby lock journey model bljy. I have embroidered around 20 items and everything was running perfect then ask of a sudden i got an error code.
There is no needle plate cover. I have checked everything took things apart rechecked everything and nothing it won't work. I have unplugged it and let it sit for two hours and that didn't help. Any suggestions.

Hi and Welcome to Cute! Congratulations on your new Baby! Sometimes the needle plate cover can slip a bit and you will get this message...you need to either snap it back into position, or remove it and then slide and snap it back...it is not the bobbin cover...it is the larger needle plate cover that sits in front of the bobbin cover (I hope that makes sense)....I have the BabyLock Ellisimo and my needle plate cover is light grey...it sits in front of the little plastic bobbin cover that you remove to replace the bobbin...Check and make the needle plate cover is snapped securely and then the warning should go away.....

Thank you for the help. I have tried this and the error still is up. Nothing changed it won't work!!
Sorry to hear...you said you didn't have a needle plate, so I wanted to make sure you knew you did have one and what it looked like...I would say call your dealer...

Welcome to the Cute family. I have Babylocks but am not familiar with your machine. I would call the dealer where you bought the machine and explain the problem. My guess is they will be able to help you. Please let us know what the solution is when you are up and running so we can all celebrate with you. Because the machine is new, you should have access to classes and tech help.

This happened to me on my Brother machine and my husband said he would help me. It turned out I didn't have my plate on correctly even though it looked liked I did. Check over everything.

I just got this machine last Spring. When you say "there is no needle plate cover" does not make sense as it would not have sewn the 20 items if it did not have one. I assume that after reading prior posts you have removed/replaced it. There is a diagram in the front of the manual that labels all the machine's parts.
If you have already removed and re-installed the needle plate cover, you need to call the dealer!

This happened to my on my serger, and it was a sensor that had gone bad. It was not very expensive to have it fixed, and now it runs beautifully. Hope yours is an easy fix.
