I am visiting grandchildren in Johannesburg at the moment. Yesterday we had a thunderstorm with torrential rain. I found this picture on FB and found it so stunning that I wanted to share. The rain caused absolute havoc with much flooding.

I'm sorry that there is flooding there. My soul longs for a thunderstorm with soft rain for hours. We are over 18" below normal for water in our area. There are fires everywhere. Thousands of acres have burned and the poor animals of the forest must be so very afraid and confused.

Great picture!! My niece works in the orange building and caught this photo when she went to work back in April... scary but it was ok after some rain...
