Thanks for posting this as not had a news flash here telling us yet. Been in contact with family and brother in laws family have headed to higher ground.

Dear God, Please hold them in your hand and comfort them as they must have fears that we can't imagine. Let them as families stay together and glue them as a country to each other. In Jesus name, amen.

So much to be prayed for. This one will be on the top of the list.

Hi everyone thanks for your prayers . Yes I live in Christchurch, it brings all the old memories back . We are still not finished with the rebuild from the last big one 5 years ago, people still fighting insurance companies over repairs it all adds to the stress. This time we are not to bad, minor damage so far but reports still coming in, it is the outlying towns and further up the coasts that have been hit worst ,there is 2 fatalities so far and they are are sending helicopters in to some of the places where roads are unpassable Tsunami sirens still going here . Also as we are 2 islands they have taken some big hits up the north Island as well .

Haven't had the radio on or the TV and didn't know about this. Prayers for all in the area.
