JOSHUA UPDATE

Just thought I would give you an update on what is happening with Joshua. He and his mum have been in Dubai since September. Josh spent much of the first couple of months looking and getting the furniture for their apartment. They were very lucky and most of the furniture except the beds are second hand. Emma has found that driving on the right a totally new experience.
Josh knew that once his visitors visa was up he would have to return to S. Africa.
Josh has been trying to get a job which has been impossible. A couple of weeks ago he needed to take one of their cats (yes, they have two rescue cats) for its injections and saw that the veterinary clinic was advertising for a receptionist. He applied and was asked to go for an interview. His interview was last week with the head vet. Josh was told that he was not suitable for that position but would he like to apply to be a veterinary nurse. Since then he has had another interview and he starts work on 28th. December.
I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled we all are. There is one little downside, Josh is having to have another operation on 6th. December in Johannesburg to remove a piece of floating bone left from the amputation. He will just be in overnight and will have to take it easy for a week. He will then need some impressions to have his prothesis relined. DH and I are flying to Johannesburg for Christmas. Really looking forward to that.
Thank you Cuties for all your thoughts, prayers and love over the last couple of years.
The photos are their cats and the view from their apartment

Thank you so much Sarah. I so much love to keep up with Josh. Hope all goes well and think he would love working with the animals. God always has a plan for our lives even though we many times do not comply. Perhaps this is his plan for Josh. Much love/Lillian

I'm so happy that things are finally working out for Josh. I always like hearing from his experiences. Sad to hear yet another operation though. I hope his new boss will hold his job position until he is well enough to return............. What a view to wake up to! As always, give him my best wishes!-Toogie

We normally drive to Johannesburg but we are not getting any younger so have decided to fly. The flight is only two hours compared to the twelve hour drive. We will have two cars at our disposal, which is great

Thank you Chris. Charlotte and Paul are taking the twins to the U.K. For Christmas. We will only be with them for one night before they leave. We are dog and house sitting. I will pass on your wishes. Love Sarah
