Thought I would share my latest gift. A man apron that is larger and has longer ties than standard for a more manly figure! I made a lined extra wide and deep pocket, and the whole apron was lined after the embroidery was done.
I used DBS flame font and one built in to my machines software. I was a bit disappointed with the font outline, so the next time I use this font I will skip that. It also had lots of jump stitches due to the style of font but thankfully my machines snips them for me. ;)

Great job - he will be dead chuffed with it. (Colloquial English for delighted!)

Thanks, he will. Have not heard that expression for a while despite most people I know here in Aus being English!
I know the expression well and as I'm South Australian we used it quite a lot! Love Chris

I am sure he will love this apron. The flame font looks good. I think the jumps were worth it. Perfect for a bar-b-que. great work.

Nice job.... I'm sure this will be a great gift. font looks good from here. I hate jump stitches in fonts.... my machine doesn't skip them....or at least not that I know of, is it a special setting or just built into it? Keep up the good work. :)

Some newer machines will cut jump stitches as they stitch nowadays!

He'll love it! The font you used for "DAD" is a clever choice and makes this apron special.
