Yea Cuties! I finally got something made for MY Christmas gifts!

This is on Avery's top sheet. Pooky37 from Sew Forum made the words for me. They are filled stitched so I had to use cut-a-way, but I trimmed as close as I could to each word.
I did have a time of it, though, since not all words were the same height. I re-sized and went back & forth with post and emails to Pooky and Kim.
Poor Kim probably wanted to pull her hair out. She tried to help me make a template. I have NEVER printed out a template to use as I don't know how! And by the time Pooky knew I had troubles I was finished.
When I was satisfied with size of words, I carefully marked my sheet for placement & spaces since it would be 3 hoopings for me. I had marked one space 1inch, then decided maybe I needed 1 1/2 inch. HOWEVER, because I did not remove my first mark, I did not pay attention and emb it at that space. Needless to say, one space is 1/2 wider than the other.
Kim did suggest a fix if it bothered me tremendously. She suggested a small butterfly or heart be placed there. I had already sewn my cuff back down(see second photo) because when I embroidered the words I had ripped the cuff open so my back stitches are in between the cuff and don't show.
I also stitched the backside of the cuff, upside down, because when we make the bed we turn the sheet cuff back, over the other covers. Not saying this is the right way, just how we do it.
Also, the day I picked these sheet up, I didn't notice they were microfiber. I was rushed and just saw Great Hotels. I really like cotton but these are soft.
Well, should I rip out enough to sew in a little butterfly or heart or leave well enough alone?
Have a good day Cuties-Toogie

Great work Toogie, I admire the challenges that you set yourself. Don't think that I would do 3 hoopings for a project

Gosh Toogie, I wouldn't worry about it. You've done an awesome job between you and Pooky37. Avery will know you did it all for her. Love your work, love Chris

Mom will be surprised for sure, as Avery can just 'feel' our love. She is such a beautiful child Chris and I'm speaking of her heart, not looks. When I reach my arms between her and her chair back, to really give her a good hug, she just lights up!
I wish I would have paid more attention, but I was working late at night, trying to do this.

I think they are beautiful just like they are - what's a 1/2" in the light of all your hard work?

I most likely will leave it as I need to finish other things. Thanks

Love the wording on the sheets and she will know your heart when she receives them.. As far as adding to it.. You could ask her if it bothers her.. If so how about an redwork design and not open the hem.. Would look good on both sides if used matching thread in bobbin.

Leave as is or use the small heart. We as embroider pick our work to hard. We know what wrong put they will not know or see the 1/2 difference.

You did a splendid job, Toogie...and I would leave it alone...perhaps pillow case with Avery's name on it if she sleeps with a pillow..not sure if she does or not....

This is lovely and such perfect wording Avery will be happy with her new sheets.
May I ask how the microfiber was to stitch on? I have seen those and they are soft so bet they are " cuddly".

Thank you, I started with a new needle so I wouldn't get a pull or snag, stabilized with cutaway, and I was happy with result. I think if I pressed the cuff it would look better, but no one is going to at home, so I didn't here.
