Hi Carolyn.
the design is very pretty, well done.
My suggestion is to keep it in a square, it will look fantastic as a doily!
Merry Christmas and hugs.

Its lovely .I was just looking at this design in her newsletter, wishing I could zoom in to get a better look at it,now I can thanks to you.
I wouldn't try cutting around it personally because I would manage to snip a thread ,wrecking all the hard work.Maybe use it on a bag.
What size did you do & how many stitches in it?

Stunning design and well sewn out Carolyn. I agree with everyone to leave as it is. Maybe make a pillow like Angie has suggested, or back it with felt and use it as a doily. Beautiful! Love Chris

Beautiful stitch out, Carolyn...I would not cut around it...If I wanted it to be a free standing mandela, I would have done it on WSS and cut away the outer fabric around it before the last satin stitch border stitched...

That's a really beautiful design. You could do a reverse applique with it or just leave it as it is.
I'm praying for John's eye right now.

I think that reverse applique would frame this nicely if you used a dark fabric. I also think it'd make a nice apron top. I'd use a contrasting binding on the apron top, or cut it down if it is too big as is.
Drive safely and will pray for you.

WoW that is lovely. Do not cut it out. Fabric around it makes it a wonderful center piece for whatever you choose to use it for. Love it.

This is absolutely gorgeous Carolyn! As the others have said, I would not cut around it. If it were me, I would make a number of these and turn them into a very elegant quilt!
