I finally glazed and decorated the Christmas fruit cake. It weighs in at 3kg (6lb 12ozs).
Ray is disappointed I didn't ice it. Can't win 'em all! LOL!

I WAS GOING TO SAY YOU COULD SENT IT TO ME but I see others have got their before me I'm sure he won't say no to eating it it has turned out lovely ENJOY

That is one delicious looking Christmas cake. I am not keen on icing personally, although I do love some nice marzipan. Can you please send a slice over to old blighty Meganne?

BTW, marzipan is the only icing I really like too.
So I do the traditional marzipan base with Royal icing on top but I only eat the marzipan Ray gets the rest. 😄

I agree it doesn't need icing. It's a beautiful work of art as is. and I am sure it is delicious. I think we Cuties are lined up waiting for a bite.

Your cake looks delicious! Could you tell me what you glazed it with? Mine is still sitting in its rum wrapped cheesecloth. We are not fond of the icing either but that glaze is stunning!
