Just wanted to Thank all you Cuties for the thoughtful birthday wishes. Yes, I did have a wonderful day. Two of my girlfriends took me out to lunch and shopping in the afternoon. I barely got home in time to go again with my daughter to me my son and future daughter-in-law for dinner. They all helped to keep my mind occupied since it was my first birthday without my beloved husband, who I lost one month ago today. It's been difficult but I am adjusting.

All first holidays are tough after loss. Glad you were surrounded by loving family and friends. Try to make some new customs in your holidays so you have new things to look forward to. And treasure the memories. Blessings on you.

More birthday wishes for you and so glad family and friends were able to keep you very busy. I hope that you will continue to stay busy. Grace and Ham's suggestion of creating new customs that you can look forward to each year is also good advice for even handling life day to day. Learning a new skill or taking up a new hobby or just using the hobbies you already have but giving volunteer service can help fill lonely hours and also bring blessings to those you may help as well as giving you renewed purpose and direction. I am sure your sweet husband would be grateful you were able to still celebrate your birthday with friends and family. I also would not be surprised if you find out in the afterlife that he had continued to spend many of those special days continuing to walk by your side in spirit. Pam
