It s a long time since I posted something but that is because I have been working on a big project. This bedcover has 77 embroidered diamonds. All the diamonds are sewn together by hand, but the most difficult bit was the backing and the quilting of the diamonds. At last finished. Flower sketches are from embroidery library the leaves from a variety of sites. This one is for our spare bedroom.

I love quilts that merge ME with quilting and yours is spectacular! The variation in designs you stitched really give a depth of interest and makes one want to keep looking at each one. Would you like to share what type of fabric/stabilizer you used to create this?

I used cottons to sew on and a light weight cut away stabiliser. For the backing I bought a king size flat bed sheet(cotton) in the sales as thar was far cheaper than buying double width cotton.

Thanks for the info! I didn't know that cut away came in different weights! Sure gave you a fantastic result!

How beautiful. Great embroidery designs and fantastic way to set them with the four patch diamonds. This was well worth the effort and time.
