Hi Cuties, I did another design yesterday and it stitched out perfectly - only one breakage and that was because the thread got caught around the top spindle. I also put the thread in the fridge overnight and I don't know whether that helped or not, but we have had incredible humidity here. Anyway when I counted them up I've got 16 squares. Plus the central one I did originally, I may end up not using it as I have more of the newer material and none left of the deep navy. I left out the centre on this one as I loved the outline so much. When I placed it in the hoop I was a bit generous on the right side and therefore have a bit less on the left hand side. I'm going to have to be very careful when sewing this seam. By the way these squares are all cut 8 and a half inches. Love Chris

I wouldn't be too anxious to set the ones with the different light of dark fabric aside. One of my favorite quilts was one I did that had two different dye lots; therefore, two different shades. So try them out...like together in the middle? or corner blocks? Or throw pillows? or as a diagonal row, etc.
