Here is an idea some might find helpful, the dish has a magnet glued to the bottom holds the scissors in place until you are ready to use them.

That's a great idea. Would be handy for pins. I placed a cup hook on the side of my machine to keep my snips and applique scissors handy but out of the way.

That's a good idea, I have been know to have mine on a piece of ribbon tied to the machine so I don't loose them

Does it magnetize your scissors? My scissors get magnetized just laying close to my sewing machine. When I go to use them, it'll pick up all the pins near it and the the pins then got magnetized too. What a pain that was. Had to buy a demagnetizer to demagnetize my scissors/pins.

Thank you for this idea, at least when I look for my scissors I will be able to find them. Hugs Maureen
