Just wanted to say thank you to all those people who give great directions for projects or embroidery designs, or anything else on this site. I've recently bought a sewing pattern, and the directions were terrible. And if you go to that person's website and ask a question, you're made to feel silly. I've never run into that on anything written by a Cutie. I appreciate it so much!

As a consumer one should never be made to feel silly. Everybody is at a different skill level. Good way to loose a customer if one is not helpful to questions. I am glad you feel that Cuties are a helpful bunch. Someone usually shows up with an answer. I learned most that I know from here.

And I've never been made to feel silly when I ask simple questions. And I sure do make some silly mistakes!

As Angie has said below I have never come across a more helpful bunch of ladies and men than on this site. And as Angie says we are all at different levels. I've sewing since I was about 10 with an electric sewing machine and from about 6 with my Nanna on a treadle. I'm not the eldest one on here and I'm sure there are ladies who have been sewing for over 70 years! Glad we can help you when you need a hand. Love Chris

I spend a long time writing the instructions for my ITH designs and try to make them easy to understand. It can take longer than coming up with the design and testing it! I'm always relieved when people can follow them!

It is difficult to write good directions, and I appreciate good directions even more now after my recent pattern purchase

This person charges for workshops to learn how to sew up this pattern, and has then enlarged the pattern and charges a fee for that too! I understand making money from a unique pattern, but not taking advantage of people.
