Gandalf has found the purrfect place to escape the extreme heat. It's between the 5000 litre water tank which is covered with a out of control passion fruit vine & the fence. As the sun comes round he just moved down further the pavers.

Our dog on the other hand wants to play out in 35C heat.
Sleeping inside on cooler day.

Gandalf looks just like my Sam, who also often sleeps belly up too. I hope you all get some relief soon.

Looks like the White cat from over the road. He is coming over and finding a cool spot on our concrete.

He wanders around a bit, everyone seems to know him.A few weeks ago a lady from the next street told us,he has been knocking at her doggie door.
Being white isn't easy ,the birds dive bomb you, people can easily see you at night.Kermit thought being green was hard.

Before Henry (my beautiful white Persian who had a heart attack and passed away) died, many yrs ago. Hubby sank a basin in the yard filled it with cool water and Henry would lay in it to cool off, his head and tail out of the water. Wish now we had taken a pic because he looked so funny in that water, unusual for a cat. After my hubby then, passed away, Henry slept with me at night 'till he passed away./Lillian

Cats & dogs seem to find the coolest place in the house to lie in.Our dog isn't fond of water.

In the summer my shepherd often chooses the same position on the cool tiles. He also sheds likes crazy.

Gandalf reminds me so much of Sam that I just had to share my boys with you. The top picture is of Sam and Fred catching a cat nap. The bottom one is a close-up of Sam. I'm sorry the pictures aren't clearer.

Fred looks like our ginger cat from 40yrs ago but Sam & Gandalf do look alike.Gandalf is a very long cat when he stretches out.The girls at the vets wondered why he was in a large crate but when they got him out ,they realized he wouldn't fit in a cat crate.

Of our two girls. One sleeps on the floor between my embroidery machine and the sewing machine, when I am not there. While the other has bagged the top of the chest freezer as her go to place when it is hot. They will not go into the lounge room where the air con is on, but lurk outside or in their special spots on super hot days and it has been 45C at our place a few days this summer.
