UPDATE well my mbx v5 disc arrived in the mail and I have spent the last 3 days trying to get it sorted with the help from a very patient janome tech person. I didn't realise how much free space was actually needed to just install it so I first had to send many files to a separate hard drive to free up space. On my first install attempt my computer generated a G: drive and refused to install after 5 mins. That was fixed and then it stopped at activation showing an error each time I tried to reinstall. That turned out to be a weird problem to do with explorer( I don't use it for browsing but it is needed to use help files on a few programs) that was fixed and allowed the install to go ahead. Then my computer started showing a pop up each time I tried to open digitizer referring back to G: drive and some files that had been transferred to my external hard drive! Turns out that was something to do with one drive, something else I never use! Anyway it is now fixed and I have got some serious learning to do. If you happen upon this post having issues installing digitizer, Janome were a great help and explained everything clearly. I suspect most wouldnt have the same issues as I did as Janome had not heard of those errors before in relation to mbx.
The update to my janome digitizer mb should be here tomorrow. Is there anything I should do before I install it?
