Owl tea towels a present .Owl designs are from Embroidery Library -Owl days of the week but I cut out the day names & changed all the colours to black.
The owl head is from Nicoles Designs.I was having trouble with the black thread ,so when the design was symmetrical I gave in.

I like the variety of owls and the crispness of the design you got using just black thread. I've been obcessed with blackwork recently and like how you just edited a design to achieve the look you want.

Black thread is the worst for playing up. I was once told it has to do with the dying process it makes it hairy. I don't understand why it only affects black.

Years ago the local Bernina man told me black was the worst colour for playing up, but I think he hot humid weather had something to do with it because both brands that played up ,had been used when the weather had been mild without any problems.
