So frustrated with the computer!!! After the last windows update my ability to post photos went ........It keeps telling me my camera card needs to be formatted (which will erase everything!). and when I check for drive F:/, it is not even on the computer anymore!! Does anyone has any words of wisdom?

No wisdom, but I feel your pain. I updated Windows from 9 to 10 and it made my built in CD player disappear. I tried all the fixes and then boosted for an external CD player. Used it about four months and one day my internal drive showed up again. Used it several times and it has now disappeared again.

Are you saying your drive does not show up or your pictures?

The drive is not showing up anymore so it won't read the camera card.

This is weird. I imagine you already rebooted. Check with the manufacturer of your computer. You may need a updated driver.

I feel for you, I have been having issues installing Janome mbx v5 and they have been problems Janome haven't had to deal with before. Will your computer let you just copy and paste the photos onto your hard drive without formatting it?
Your SD card after the update may be incompatible with the version of windows installed causing the errors and not recognising the SD card. Your photos should still be on there it should just be a case of getting your computer to recognise it. Have you done a google search to see if there are any fixes for your problem?

While I am not there to see the issue, it may be the "driver" for your SD port (the slot for your card) was changed with the last Windows update. If that is the case, you can usually roll back the driver or instead, update it at the site where your computer was built (ie Sony or Dell etc). It seems complicated -- I know, but perhaps you can get someone you know to help you. Do not format it. If you have another computer, I would try to copy your pictures to that first. Check your camera instructions to see if you can leave the SD card in the camera and hook up via USB ports
Good luck!

I can sympathize with you. I too had an update and it wiped out some of my designs . Yes, I have a back up but something went wrong. My dh tried for two days to get them back. I guess it was not to be. It is trying my patience.... Good lock

Updates are great when they don't mess with your prior setup!!!
