This is how I've spent my afternoon hiding from storm Doris. Design from Embroidery Library stitched on upholstery fabric. The chair one of those which has a plastic shell around the seat and back. The fabric is simply pushed into the gap between the shell and the original upholstery. Actually easier said than done with this rather thick fabric!

Lovely design, it looks great on the chair. Doris has had a go at us as well and apart from being on the road for 5 hrs for a necessary meeting that lasted 3/4 of an hour I have been knitting, with far less spectacular results as your chair!

You always have the best ideas! The chair looks great with brilliant colours and the embroidery. And: Every visitor will know how busy you are. Thanks for sharing - Maria
And I know how difficult it is to wrap the chair into new clothes. I have done that too but dismounted the plastic shells and made a tunnel with strong cord in it around the fabric and then pulled it together. By that it was straight without any "wrinkles" but it took a lot of time for the additional sewing around the fabric. Doris arrived in Germany too and it makes a lot of noises and hopefully no damage. Take care -Maria

Wonderful job, using the perfect design! I'm kinda glad I don't own a chair like that - since my "to do list" is miles long already! ;-)

As I said earlier I love your ingenuity. I have one of these at each of my machines, sewing and embroidery(only 2) never occurred to me to do this. They would be so much more attractive covered. The only thing is alas where would I get the time? I'm always behind on everything. LOL One of these days I'll get around to it/Lillian
