I made a new batch of ribbon barrettes for my great niece Amelia. They take a while longer now with wonky fingers, but bring back memories of my daughter wearing them. And I get a steady stream of pictures with her wearing them, which makes me smile.

I made these for my daughter, too! She loved wearing them. I reminded of them the other day and told her we should make some for her daughter.

I don't know of a name, they were popular when my daughter was young-she just hit 40. You can google ribbon barrettes and find some. Having white and a color on each side gives you these stripes, if you start with white on one side and a color on the other, it makes a different pattern.
