Try and Try again, as it's said Cuties.

I wanted to make a little bag, pieced like airyfairy/Sarah's in Projects, but with boxed bottom corners, so it would stand up....I made it one strip too many, as it came out too tall, for the width.

I think I have the right idea, just gotta get the right size. See 2nd photo, when I fold top strip back? That's more the size height, don't you think. I lined it with denim too and that made it too thick.

Oh well, back to the drawing board, as they say, to try again, but not tonight! -lol- I'm going to bed,goodnight-Toogie

The bag looks great anyway! The dimensions are a matter of taste, we naturally seem to prefer those of the classic golden ratio but it also depends on usage. Having said that I think I'd omit a stripe as well.

Good night!
by toogie 28 Feb 2017
Good night!...as you can see, I'm still up. Hubby has been asleep and I was going to bed, but he cried out in his sleep, so I'll wait awhile. He does that sometimes, just shouts out. AND sometimes hits me! Now you know why I'm waiting to see if he settles down!-lol- the kids ask if I'm sure he's asleep!-lol

lol.. My FIL use to play soccer when he was asleep, mums shins were often bruised.

My husband played waterpolo - in his sleep as well - he has a good reach 😊

Well, I suppose I could stop complaining about loud snoring, then as I don't have to participate in sports throughout the night. LOL
by toogie 28 Feb 2017
Oh I thought the snoring came naturally-lol

Jrob-one night he hit me in the eye and I jumped and grabbed my eye, he apologized and then almost hit me again! That's why the kids said, you sure he's asleep. He hollers and wakes me, but he's just talking/mumbling and can't understand a word he's saying sometimes. I guess he talks in his sleep, because he sure doesn't when he's awake!-lol-I told him when Ashley got married he was going to have to start talking to me or I was gonna go nuts. (I guess that's why I am like I am today!) Anyway, his response was, "Yall haven't let me talk in 35 years, why start now!"-lol

Toogie, another terrific bag the size depends what you are going to use it for. As mops says a matter of taste., the material choice is bright and cheerful, I think it is great. Sandra.

Toogie, that looks fantastic. I think the strips need to be a little narrower. Great job

Well, Toogie...I think it is a wonderful bag! Sometime you need a taller bag and this could come in handy...but again, I don't see the "Toogie Tag"...

I know, I know...shame on me...I hate when I forget, so please keep reminding me!!!
It will topple over if you put something tall but it will still be used, I'm sure. thanks friend-Toogie

Chris it is really a rather small case, just tall. I was trying to make it similar to Sarah's strip cases, however I got the height too tall on this one.
