I've read several posts on here about the loss of a precious life. I wanted to share one idea that I've used several times in my "circle". I've used a purchased throw (I keep several on hand and purchase them usually on clearance after Christmas) I try to find out the favorite color of the ill person, and I make a fabric binding on the throw in that color. Then, it and a coordinating permanent marker gets passed around to coworkers, family, friends, church members, etc, and people sign their name to it as a commitment to pray for that person. If they recover, that's a great reminder of the power of prayer. If they lose their battle, its a comfort to the family to know how much their loved one was cherished. Just an idea
