ITH Memory Cushion - any pieced quilt block could be used in this way. This one is the basic sashed block from Engineered in Stitches. (I had "fun" matching those checks!) The photograph was done with Embird Sfumato.

You have to be a detailed oriented person to match plaids. And you would only notice if it was off. These are perfect.

What a perfect job especially how your plaids matched. Sign of a good seamstress. I love the memory pillow.

Great job on the photo design and making the pillow/cushion. Who are the people in the photo? your parents?

No - they are good friend. Micheal died a couple of years ago and the checked fabric was one of his shirts. I made the cushion for Janey, his wife.
I know how much it means to Janey to have this done. Bless you Sue

I'm a fan. This is a lovely pillow and I'll just wager that you will never have any idea of it's great worth to your dear friend.
I've been matching plaids since the early 70's and would never purchase anything off rack that wasn't matched- one of my pet peeves.

Great job matching those checks. I'm with Jerrilyn I hate not having things match up. ❤️ Chris

I agree it is a pain to do the checks and match it... but well worth the time you spend doing it. Beautiful pillow!
