Fishing cork/bob-
I am having so much fun getting ready for Gus' 1st birthday party!
I decided to make him a ball, to look like a fishing cork. I embroidered a red one inch circle, on the white half of the ball, as I didn't want to make it protrude out and make the ball not roll.
I think it came out so cute! What do you think?
His big catch is below.-Toogie

Great gifts for Gus, he will love to play with the ball, and the fish bag is very unique, well done. Sandra.

Mom or Dad will be carrying the fish bag, I'm sure but he will play with the ball. He 'chased' a pink ball all over the floor the other day. My arms were sore just watching him, as he pulls himself along with his arms. He won't get up on his knees, nor will he let go to try to walk. He has always been happy just to sit and watch everybody. I guess we amuse him-lol

Wow, the bob is a nice added detail! How many pieces does it take to make the felt ball, and did you use a pattern? I'd appreciate knowing how to make one. I know a little fisherman that would like it! Thank you!

Welcome SUEF, to Cute Embroidery! I get the privilege of presenting you with your first flower!
The ball has 4 pieces and is made of fleece here, not felt. I will have to get back with you on the shape. Look for a PM in your INBOX at the top of this page. When you see it lite up red with a number, click on it to read.

Toogie,
I saw this ball and was wondering if you could share the pattern or instructions on how you made it with me. My nephews are Pokémon fans. My brother bought them these back packs that was covered in little brains and had a zombie hat attached... which they hated! Thus I removed the hat and embroidered a Pokémon ball, "Pokémon on the brain" text and a few of their favorite characters to cover up a lot of the little brains and change the focus to Pokémon. However, the original backpack came with a little brain key fob/zipper pull. My nephews think I can make anything thus they want a Pokémon key fob/zipper pull that goes on their pack. I think a Pokémon ball would work perfectly! I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks. -Kay

You are so clever. That is an amazing ball and fish. I can just feel your pride and joy in seeing the completed items, knowing he will love them so much.

You are correct. I have as much fun making them and seeing the children's faces, as they do playing with them. I'm not the clever one here as I used patterns.-lol
