I've just (nearly) finished this quilt. Each block was pieced, backed and then quilted in the hoop. I had digitised the block to be joined in the hoop as well, but I found it was getting unwieldy so I joined the blocks into a row as I went along but then joined the rows on my sewing machine. The blocks are hand finished on the back. (The cushion was all joined in the hoop when I was testing the design. The quilting on the cushion block is not my own, it is from Kreative Kiwi.)
The main fabric was a high thread count duvet cover that my daughter ice dyed.
I said it is nearly finished because it has no label as yet. Any suggestions what I should call it?
Can't help you with a name.
I have not heard of ice dying fabric. Would you please explain a little about this process? Thanks.
So I'd like to put my suggestion in as "Chevron Ice" Love Chris
I came across this tutorial on how to ice dye fabric... it looks rather simple.
