It's official and I can tell everyone now, I'm going to be a Grandma for the first time in October! I'm so happy and excited! My DIL and my 2nd son (the firefighter) are expecting.

Congratulations!!! How wonderful. Being a grandma is one of the most precious blessings a woman can have. You will experience some of the greatest joy you have ever had. Such a special time in life. I have six that are now all grown and it has been a fantastic time.

Congratulations! People told me how different the grandparent love is from parent love but I didn't really understand until it happened to me. It's like my heart grew another chamber just for her. I hope you enjoy and cherish every second of the journey. It is so wonderful.
