Having a "Quiet Day" today per the doctor, after taking a Peter Pan flying leap off the back steps (Brick) into the concrete carport last night. Busted my face open and several other places, but the worst is some muscular issues in the arm I landed on. I can't open a Diet Coke or turn a door knob or close or open the driver's door left handed, so this is going to be awhile. Tried to carry a 3 pound box of detergent and it simply fell out of my grip - I don't have a grip. You guys and the tv are my link to sanity today. And you're doing a better job of entertaining than the tv. Whew!

Take care and take life quietly for a while. I know that life minus diet coke and tv is totally possible so with a few quiet days you will hopefully be back at your machine

OUCH!
Please do not attempt to navigate through bricks or concrete. ;)
A fork might help with opening a can -- but the caffeine will just make you want to get up and DO something. Maybe a sling would help your muscles heal -- even if only to remind you not to use that arm.
I do hope you feel better soon!

Oh I hope you feel better soon. It can be very frustrating not being able to do the things you want to. Wishing you a quick recovery

Oh gosh! I am terrified of falling and I know you don't need this either. Didn't hurt the knee, did you? Bad enough the arm and face...any stitches???
Watch old movies... I would if I could get control of the living room TV. If I watch in any of the bedrooms, I never see the end, as I fall asleep.-lol
Hope you feel better soon!-Toogie

I did a complete splat over a lift in the sidewalk today. I gracefully took 3 steps to try to recover and ended up palms first down. I did make out better than you as those steps lessened the blow. This is twice in as many weeks and have decided not to do that again. I expect to feel even older than usual tomorrow.

Look after yourself do hope the muscle soreness doesn't last to long. Rescuer's suggestion of using a fork to open your can is a good one. Take advantage of being the boss of the TV for a while. Marian

Ouch, ouch, ouch! 3rd after is always the worst. Heat to the sore muscles will help. . I'm so glad no bones broken. These days I must watch each step I take so I will not fall Can't risk hurting back any worse or anything that would jeopardise my taking care of Ron . Hope you will soon be better/Lillian

Ouch doesn't even cover how you must feel now. I guess you needed a long rest but this isn't my choice of how to rest. Keep sane any way you can and don't hesitate to talk to any of us any time. My Handsome Hubby said to tell you that you need to get a grip. My suggestion is to use a bag to carry things from now on. Please rest as long as it takes.

Oh my, that fall sounds terrible. I know that sometimes you can be down before you know what happened and there is no way of preventing it. But, thanks for sharing this , it will serve as a reminder to all of us to be careful and pay attention to where we are going. Try to just relax and heal we will be thinking of you.

How dreadful. I hope things are going better today. Did you require stitches? Please take good care of yourself. Muscle and bone injuries can be so difficult. I pray your recovery goes well.

Quiet Day #4. Arm - muscles and pinched nerve still. This may be awhile. Face looks better. No stitches, just Steri-strips. I move better but still look like a marionette. Learning how much I use my left hand, although right-handed. DH teaches Sunday School Sunday and I still look like victim of abuse, rather than brick steps. Hope they won't be too hard on him!
