Here is a different version of my shell in burgundy with gold thread. There is heat resistant wadding inside as we have timber furniture.
I made this on my 350e and just realised I forgot to snip some jump threads when I uploaded the pic ;)

Nice work! It is great to develop shapes and ideas you have already spent a lot of time on. I like to find different ways to re-use mine as well!

Thank you. I agree, I have a few different ideas for this one.

Nicely done. I see you have found a way to get the symmetry right. I too like to use a design in more ways than one - stuffy, applique, part of a larger design, etc.

Thanks. Yes i used a cirlular layout that looked nothing like a shell for the earliest version and then modified it umpteen times.

Looks good like the detail and colour.
Funny how you mentioned having to snip jump threads on the 350E, Guess we are getting lazy with the 500E doing it for us.

Thank you. Yes I love my 500e but still trying to show my 350e some love as I am not ready to part with it yet.

Looking good! So is this to be used as a trivet or hot pad, since you used the heat resistant padding? What is this ones size?

Hi toogie, this fits the 4x4 hoop and is just the right size for a hot mug. I am planning on making the placemats soon so I can have a whole table setting which will probably work for a hot pad too
