It makes you wonder, when you see an animal 'out of place', I mean so close to houses. He does look lean, so he must be coming around searching for food. I agree don't feed him or he won't leave and may bring others.....

I'm glad that you have this pleasure to compensate for the harsh cold! Thanks for showing us! I hope he talks to you. I mostly here birds where I am. If a siren comes close enough, several neighbor dogs answer back and I love that!

Great picture!! We have wolves but tend to get more grizzlies, black bear, mountain lions and deer...lots and lots of deer!. The deer bring in the predators. A couple of years ago we had a mother grizz and two cubs waltz through the south side of the city...caused quite a stir!
Take care, Hugs, Nadyne

You must live in a mountainous area. I can see why it caused a stir, when the bears went to town. Makes you wonder why they weren't scared, too.
by chenille 30 Mar 2017
Yes we live in the Rocky Mountain area...and Grizzly bears are not frightened of ANYTHING!!
by toogie 31 Mar 2017
Oh, I will be going to the Rocky Mountains in May! We hope to see the elk while there. I got close enough to bears in Tennessee, when we went hiking in the Smoky Mountains. We were up at a waterfall and there were two Rangers there. Some people came up and told us there were 2 bears between us and the parking area downhill. Needless to say we got some up close photos and video.

Where will you be going? We are just North of the U.S. border in B.C.

This would make a beautiful enlargement. Be careful and I agree with Lillian, don't feed him. It could start something dangerous for you and your community.

Thanks Carolyn, it just shows that we all live in different parts of the world and see different things on our doorsteps. I see pictures here of things that I have only seen in books etc but being part of Cute we show pics of what is common in our parts of the world and it makes it REAL. Thanks for this picture

Beautiful photo. I love how he blends into the background. You would most likely not see him if he didn't move. This would make a great art quilt.

Beautiful . I would just think it was a Malamute LOL
My nephew had a coyote in his yard living in the woods behind him. In the evening he would go out and toss it hotdogs and than one day it didn't come back. We live in a city
