As a few of you know , I have been decorating our spare bedroom. I was totally sick of my beige theme. When I told DH what I wanted to do, he was not very supportive. He painfully painted the ceiling and walls and then left me to it. The bedside cupboards were in wood so needed quite some rubbing down. The stripes took me a week, doing a little each day. My back and knees really suffered.
On Tuesday my stepson and girlfriend from Brussels are coming to stay a few days - this was the reason for my 'new' spare room.

Thank you Caroline. They are not here for very long as Philip wants to show Johanna as much of South Africa as possible. We will be taking them to Addo elephant park, which is my most favourite place to go.

My one friend who did not like it, said it looked like a circus tent. 😕
The saying goes, 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'. It's a shame, your 'friend' must have not learned that. At her age, its high time she did. You're never too old to learn. I'm sorry Sarah, as I know you worked hard redecorating.
