I made 2 quilt squares to go in a quilt to be hung at the NC Women's Hospital. The goal is to have a square representing each of the 100 counties in North Carolina. They only lack about 15. The fish square, for a coastal county, is 4 squares made and quilted ITH then sewn together. The star was made on the sewing machine with the county name embroidered on it

Love them, especially the fish sq. NC has a special place in my heart since my Greats and Great Greats all came from there. McCoys and Shufords/Lillian

I have no known McCoys or Shufords in my family tree so we are only related through our love of embroidery! Thanks for the flower.

Nice! And I know Perquimans County area. I grew up in Pasquotank County and family all live in Currituck and Dare counties. My old stomping grounds! I remember having to learn all those 100 county names in 6th grade!

I grew up in Surry and now live in Alamance. I've never been to Perquimans, just did that square because it needed to be done.

Nice. I like the fish. My sister lives in Mars Hill-near Asheville, I spent most of last summer with her. Might do it again this year.
