Free Zippered purse from Brother USA site.

Has anyone else made one of these?
There were no instructions with the design but I did a step by step and I can't see how it would turn so edges were inside. The last stitch which is a satin stitch is very very narrow and on the outside.
First photo is finished design as per download. Second is after I did a zig zag in blue on regular machine.
Third photo is print out of how it looks in Embird.
Did I miss a step or is this how it is supposed to be?
It is still useable but not as neat as others I have done.
I am disappointed as this is the shape I was looking for with the zip at the top.
Thanks for any advice.

There should be a step to add the right sides together with the zipper part way opened so you can turn it or a step to put the wrong sides together using the satin stitch

I made it but its been a while. I think before the final step, place your back piece on top only AFTER YOU HAVE OPENED THE ZIPPER. Then let it stitch it together. IF you have unzipped your zipper you should be able to turn it right side out.

I will have to try this again when no distractions around. I know I did something wrong just trying to think what.
I opened the zipper so if I put back on top facing wrong side up and then do last stitch it should work?

Only open the zipper part of the way to make sure the zipper pull is not in the way of the needle. I think you need right sides facing each other (on top) and run the last stitch. Then turn it via the zipper opening.
