Dresses for my granddaughters ~

Did you ever look at the illustration on a pattern envelop and think "that's so cute", only to have it look blah once you've sewn it? That was the case with this pattern. It called for just bias binding around the neckline, but I felt it needed a little extra. So I added the collar from Stitch Delight and it did the trick!

I removed the flower and just did the collar ITH with a matching peach thread.

The picture was taken before I ironed that one collar into submission! 😒

Lovely and sweet looking. I think seeing little girls in dresses like these that are made with TLC is so much nicer than one wearing latest Disney character on a T-shirt.

Thanks! I've yet to see them in the dresses - I mailed them 2½ weeks ago, but the package got lost in the mail.... they showed up yesterday! To the UK via a tour of Europe!🙄

They look so nice and professional looking. The collar sets them off just right. I think bias binding around the neck would make them look home made.
Clever thinking on your part.

Thanks so much, that bias did look "home made" as opposed "hand made" if you get what I mean. I think now they have a classic look about them. Hugs*, Deb

I think they are darling. The collar does 'brighten' it up and I like the edgings, on the sleeve and skirt hems. Cute as can be.

You think it's bad about your package taking 2 1/2 weeks, listen to this. I had a $2.?? late fee added to my water bill. I called and asked why as I had mailed it on the 8th (due the 15th). She said they did not receive it until the 20th!! Took 12 days to go 6 miles!!! I should have walked and paid it!!!

Thank goodness they got them in time for Easter!

Oh, good grief! That's ridiculous!

I told my husband I would have to 'guess-to-mate' the cost of my water bill every month and pay in advance, before receiving a bill!-lol

Yes, that has happened to me. I love the little pleats. Great job.

I think it has happened more often than naught. Those pleats are what sold me on the pattern in the first place. Thanks!, Hugs*, Deb

Your touches make them special and sew much better. I am delighted to see the peter pan collar come back in style again. I even see it in adult dresses and also with sweaters. Keep up the good work.
