UPDATE BELOW-Hello Cuties!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
I made this little dress and panty today, in a size 4, for Nora. I used this pattern in 2009 for her big sis. The part that took the most time is cutting out the bias binding, pressing and sewing it on. It took about 7 yards! As you can see in photo 3 it is full.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
I had everything I needed to make this, in my stash. I just need her to come and let me adjust the waist and leg elastic, then I am finished....so I can start another-lol-Have a good night or day, where ever you may be-Toogie<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />
I have decided to go ahead and sew pockets on. I reinforced the top edges with cut-a-way, on the wrong side. She had a dress before, where the pocket top edges made holes with the strain with hands in and out the pocket. I placed them at the markings, but it sure looks angled wrong.

Hi, I am afraid I can't say where this fabric is from other than my stash. I am sure it was given to me because I don't remember buying it.

Oh she will be twirling as I guess your grand daughters did in their twirly dress you made them. They like to spin and make the skirts fly out...I did too, when I was little. Can't picture me spinning now, I get so dizzy-lol....It's almost wedding time!!! Looking forward to the photos and please show some of Bali, as most of us will never get there.

I thought they would have came by after church so I could finish the elastic, but they didn't. Earlier I had told Ashley I could not find my panty pattern. It wasn't in the envelope. I am usually so good about making sure all the pieces to the pattern are back in, but if I have a piece missing, it is usually the panty. I keep it out and make panties to go under different dresses, at the same time.....then I loose them.-lol- I used to hate how a friend of mine would save her patterns. She never folded each piece. They were wadded up and stuffed inside. It's a wonder that didn't tear the tissue. I would have to iron the pieces out before I could use it.

I have this pattern, I think it is adorable and you did a wonderful job on it. I often make my own bias for the hem around my sheer skirts and they take about 5yds takes a while to do one.

I can't imagine sewing bias on sheer.It would slip out my hand and be all over the place. You sew very well....maybe one day you will be able to use your pattern like this again.

They are sweet memories, I remember the ones mama made. Grandmother just quilted, she never made clothing that I am aware of. Maybe Nora will have these memories, too, thanks.
I asked if they wanted emb on it, mom said no. I hesitate to put the pockets for fear they will eventually tear away from the skirt, but the front needs something....

Toogie I always love seeing what you are creating. This is a sweet little dress. just shows that keeping patterns we can keep re suing them and they look as good each time they are used

I had entertained that idea. It would have been easier and quicker to make it reversible, but then it would have been thicker and not as cool.

Both girls look great in their new clothes. I have noticed that some siblings are harder wear on pockets and knees. Can't believe how long that pony tail is!

Mom had Nora's hair trimmed awhile back. It looked so healthy and straight as a board like mine. Hope your knee improves daily.

This is adorable. Who would have thought a big circle with armholes and little cap sleeve covered in all the bias would turn out like this. I am terrible about saving old patterns now. Just because of trying to downsize some of my stuff. So cute.
