Hi everybody, I've missed you all.
Well, what a wedding we had it was THE BEST WEDDING we've ever been to. So much love, fun, laughter, drinking, fun, love, laughter, DRINKING!!!! Did I mention that twice? We had budgeted a set amount for the Alcohol and went way over, gee some of their (Amy and Steve's) friends drink like fish! Never mind, it was our last wedding and it was all worth it.
The Nusa Dua Beach and Spa Resort is an amazing place. The pools, the food, the staff were excellent.
We were very fortunate in that we had a private Palace suite with 2 rooms and our own pool. So the bridesmaids and flowergirls got ready in our room.
Poor old Trev (Father of the Bride) had to get dressed in our dressing room and then vacate whilst everyone else got dressed and had their hair and make up done.
It was stinking hot, perspiration was dripping down me and I hate the heat. Never mind I had a fan and by the time the reception came round it was a fabulous sea breeze. The reception was held near the beachfront.
We got back this morning (Thursday) at 6.20am and then caught a train home to Newcastle and Dana picked us up from the train station.
Dana and her family had been away in America and Hawaii for 3 weeks and then the week at Nusa Dua.
I've got a few photos of the wedding I'll post, but the majority of them are with other friends.
Our oldest friends John and Deirdre (who own the winery up in the Hunter Valley that we go to quite frequently) came and both of them took fabulous pictures too and are presenting us an album as a gift from them.
Trev and I viewed the wedding album by the official photographer last night and it's gorgeous.
Can't thank you all for the wonderful wedding wishes. I've printed them out and will give them to Amy when she, Steve and the girls come back from the rest of their holiday.
It's all go now, I'm up to my eyes in washing, getting mail collected etc. and thinking of next week with babysitting duties etc. Life goes on!

As you can see it was a fabulous wedding. Dana sang a great rendition of She's my Soul Sister and made up words for Amy. Steve sang I can't get no Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones as he takes Mick Jagger off to a T and everyone was in stitches.
During my speech I sang "Slipping through my Fingers" by ABBA which brought a lot of tears to the mothers that were there.
All in all it was an amazing wedding and the after parties were great too.
I don't think our next holiday to Italy in September/October will be able to top this holiday off. Love Chris

Those are the prettiest bridesmaids dresses I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing.
Amy walked down the aisle with Trev and me towards Steve to the song "At Last" sung by Etta James - it was so appropriate!!!!!
I don't think there is one bad picture of her, they are all gorgeous, but so is she! Love Chris
Thanks for showing us.
I can't say enough of how beautiful everyone looks from the children to the grown ups, but the bride outshines them all, as well she should. That gown is exquisite! I have never seen one like it. I love how the back flows. This last photo of Amy is timeless. Of course, Amy herself is always beautiful.
I am so happy to see your mom was able to make the trip, too. These photos will be treasured through the years, knowing she was there to share in this occasion.
The setting for the ceremony was perfect too. I love the water in the background of the two sisters pic. I love water period. In another life I think I could have been a sea creature. Now I am just a creature-lol
After the months, weeks of planning and the excitement of the wedding and party after, it is hard to come down to earth again. But time goes on and I want to wish Amy and Steve and the girls all the best, again. Thank you for including all of us in the happy occasion.-Toogie
Amy's dress was incredibly beautiful and it fit her perfectly, her pretty smiling face was the most beautiful feature of all. Thanks for sharing with us!
