Can you believe that it is a year ago today that Joshua had his leg amputated. So much has happened for him in the last year. He has been a star. We are all so proud of him. Now living in Dubai and training to be a veterinary nurse. He is driving his own automatic car and is in great shape. I miss Josh and his mum very much but hopefully they will be back for Christmas.

The picture shows him having his latest prothesis fitted.

A whole year. Well it's gone quickly and your updates sound so positive about Josh. Will Jared join them when his exams are over?

Caroline, I cannot answer that one, as at the moment he does not know what he wants to do. At the moment he has to get his head down.

I can imagine you are proud, he is so brave and amazing. An example for many. and a year already, time flies..... I think he didn't regret a single day of that year for the decision he made !

I'm sure we never would have thought this day would be one of great celebration, but it is. Josh has become quite a wonderful man. He has made very hard decisions but he has turned a tragedy into success. Kudos to Josh and may the rest of his life be wonderful.

Sarah, thank you,I'm so proud of Josh! He has come so far this past year. He overcomes each adversity and keeps plunging along. He has a no quitting attitude and I so admire this in anyone , especially a young person. He will go far in this world and attain the goals he sets for himself. He has an indomitable spirit. Every reason for his Grand mother to be so proud of him! /Hugs, Lillian

I'm with Karen in that a year ago it didn't seem like this would be a day to celebrate, but it has become one! Josh's character is heads above most young men and he has learned that anything is possible with hard work and determination.

You must all be so proud of his strength and courage over the last year. He is and will continue to be an inspiration to many. I am amazed at his tenacity to go from strength to strength and make something of his life. Also shows how much support he has from you all too.
