Thank you, Avis. I made the border with my embroidery software called Studio (to be used in conjunction with Embird Basic). First i have made the satin-stitch border, then I made the rope border, a bit smaller than the satin border, and combined the two borders in Embird.

This is so gorgeous and I just love that swan in it's own frame. Of course, I envy the wonderful results you get with your borders. I thought my frame stitching woes were over with when I got a new machine...but I got an awful thread nest and I can no get good frame results. The shop says the machine is fine...not!
