My Facebook group "Engineered in Stitches" now has over 1200 members and has raised over £1000 for the charity. Not bad in 6 months!
I know a lot of people don't want to have anything to do with Facebook. Actually, I am one of you! I never post or share anything in the public "social media" arena and I rarely accept friend requests. However, I have joined several closed groups and found them to be very much like this forum but anything I post there is only visible to other members of the group so it is quite exclusive. I have found the groups to be helpful and inspirational. I hope my explanation gives a few of you the confidence to have a look and try a couple out.

I resisted fb for a long time, and then joined to see pictures of my grandchildren. I thank you for allowing me to add your group to my select circle. Your designs have always been a pleasure to use. I rarely post anywhere, but do enjoy seeing what others have made.

Kudos to you for this endeavor. I'd say your Engineered in Stitches is a resounding success. We have had several family member and friends end their days with the support of Hospice. I just joined because I also don't like FB. I do tend to be a private person. But you reassured me on your website that I had nothing to fear. I am looking forward to checking in regularly now.
