We, as a town are all on tenterhooks today. We are getting berg winds and temperatures between 30-34. We have been asked to be on the lookout for fires starting again. Being in the southern hemisphere we are supposed to have winter at this time of year. Crazy weather.

Greetings from East London, Ec. Very hot here today as well, 31 and for the next 4 days as well. Thinking of all who were affected by the fires.

Hi from Tennessee. It is 89 degrees with the humidity factor of "just above swimming". But, in California ( where my kids live) it is 102degrees and dry, dry, dry. I hope and pray that the weather calms down.

It is crazy. I suppose you are short on rainfall also. I read a story last week how the weather today is man made. Rainfall is mostly caused by coal fire power plants. Remember way back when we were told that the smoke was really steam an water vapor was not harmful? The US has over 7,000 coal power plants and some of the most intense thunderstorms on the planet. As with everything else weather seems to be complicated.

Yikes! Not good news. I have prayers going up and fingers and toes crossed for you. We are experiencing temps in the 90s (feels like low 100s) and high humidity. I wish I could send rain to you.

Hoping for the best for all of you, Sarah...in Southern California, we are having very hot weather...here it has been up to 108 degrees with only 5 percent humidity...very hot, very dry...fires are always on our minds...
