I hestitated where to put this because it is embroidered by hand!

The photograph was printed in draft quality onto cotton fabric which had been treated with Bubble Jet 2000 and ironed onto freezer paper. I then doodled with a needle and thread to give a 3D effect to the flowery parts. (Actually I cheated. The rose top left is actually a grape vine which I extended to cover a less than pretty security light!) I'm planning to take more pictures to continue the theme and make a wallhanging.

Oh Sue , I love the 3-dimensional flowers you have added. Beautiful hand work! Reminds me of the work my Grandmother use to do on baby items she made. She used silk embroidery thread back then. Your wall hanging will be a work of art when completed, a masterpiece! Your talent never ceases to amaze me./Lillian

Lovely...have you washed items like this that have been treated with Bubble Jet 2000 before...I have treated some fabric with this solution, but I have not gotten as far as printing and washing it yet...would love to hear your experience with this product.

I love your embroidery, it brings the whole picture to life. Extending the grape vine as a rose is really inspired.
Did you use an embroidery ring. I would be afraid it would leave a mark.

I am looking forward to seeing the next one.

I did use a ring. If I'm worried about a mark, I bind the ring with cotton bias strip, but I didn't bother for this. It was only in it for a couple of days.

What a fantastic front door you have! Thanks for all the detalls about how you did this. Adding the flower details really gave this a lot of depth too. Will the next pictures you are going to do be of your home too? I can hardly wait to see what you do next!

Beautiful. I have done this but my hand embriodery leaves a lot to be desired so of course I didn't end up with the stunning result you have achieved. Well done.

There is nothing fancy here - they are the simplest of stitches. Having the fabric taut in a hoop helps to keep it neat.
