7-8-17 Amanda's Birthday today so made her a purse. Al. is her Alma Mater. Been rough for her lately on June 5 she had to have fusion of her ankle, her 5th surgery on it She has been in a (2nd cast) since 8th of June with no weight bearing for 8 weeks. They took bone from hip to fuse with.. She, her hubby and her mom have been my mainstays 'till all this and my daughter has been looking after Caleb, Abby and us . My daughter took them to Shakespeare theater in Montgomery, Al. today to see Mary Poppins production. This is my 1st completely lined with no raw edges purse. Only the applique done in hoop, Exterior and inside pictures. Hope she likes it/Lillian

This looks fabulous Miss Lillian. We have a store here in Australia called David Jones that has a logo very similar to the pattern on your purse - but ours is s but more herringbone like. ❤️ Chris

Lillian, purse is simply perfect. Chris, half of the people in Alabama dress in this black and white houndstooth plus red look. The other half wear Auburn U's navy and orange with a tiger. I'm surprised we haven't incorporated these 4 colors into the state flag!

Thanks Toogie, Her hubby came and picked it up last night and she called as soon as she saw it. She did indeed love it. Makes it all worthwhile. Had a terrible time, with all the power outages and machine quit on me( finally felt like seeing what I could do and believe it or not got it to working again(of course it took some prayer too)LOL. Not a lot of patience these days, kinda worn to a frazzle. Hugs Lillian

Such a great job in spite of all interruptions. I am not surprised that she loved it. Hopefully the storms have subsided. Prayers for healing of the ankle. Poor thing. It is no fun having to deal with a cast (not weight bearing) I know.

From ALABAMA reason I am asking,would love to have it.
Took Alabama fabric put iron on stabilizer on back . Hand drew it out then appliqued on the herringbone.
