I just finished a quilt for my soon to be GS. I like color in my baby quilts. Started with the frog fabric and went from there. This is the first side. It's a quilt-as-you-go project. I saw Sharon Pederson on Simply Quilts a few years ago and decided to make one. She has 2 books out, but armed with her basic directions and a few templates later, I made one for my first GS Derek. Almost the same except for a few fabrics. Decided their first quilts should be with frogs. I'll have to make another post for the other side.

Joanne, this is beautiful - I just love your colours and the fabrics you used. Sharon Pederson is coming to South Africa for our Quilt Festival in September and she will be running extra classes in Cape Town before Festival. I've been sitting on the fence, but now that I've seen your quilt I am definitely going to sign up. Please show the other side - I'm very interested. *4U

Haha. jrob is right, yes you will. Sewing strips on one side automatically quilts the other side. So basically, it's just sewing.

Thanks. No, but I have looked at the site. I used to tape episodes. Now I've found the videos of the shows, so I'm happy. I picked up so many ideas from her show. Sometimes I think if I see one more new "redo this house" show, I'll scream.

Oh I love it so much, the colours are really beautiful, my daughter loves green, actually I have all the green fabrics and designs picked out to make her quilt. Hope she can wait many years, it's on 'my to do list' Love the pattern style.
